Seriously, this happens with almost every update and it’s a little bit frustrating. Why must Runescape players be so afraid of change? This is one of the most controversial games around. I don’t know why our community has to go out of their way to complain and rant about every update. Here’s a list of what RS 3 Gold has to offer:
– Better graphics. What’s to dislike?
– Better audio. Full orchestra soundtracks.
– Better performance. No more loading between areas.
– Increased draw distance. Immerse yourself in the adventure!
– Better compatibility on more machines.
There’s a lot more waiting to be discovered. Sure, there are going to be a few bugs, but there are bugs in every game and they’ll soon be sorted out. I get that a lot of people might get nostalgic for past versions of Runescape, but what a lot of people seem to not understand is that in order to keep people interested in a game, you have to continuously update and change it in order to not lose money. So get used to it, it’s going to stay this way.
On a closely related side-note, why are people still complaining about EoC? That happened months ago, it works, and it’s a helluva lot more fun than the old system.
There was a thread started yesterday saying how much we liked the new Runescape 3 Gold, but it was swamped with the whining little kiddies moaning about this and that, as is the norm. How the staff at Jagex put up with it I’ll never know – maybe they just don’t read the forums – I wouldn’t.
I for one love the new game – everything you said – nice graphics, lovely artwork everywhere & customisable (I’m rubbish at switching tabs mid-fight). A few bugs, but not as many as there would have been had I written it!
